ABOUT US.
East Carolina Search and Recovery (ECSAR) was formed in 2018 by team trainer, Hannah L. Davis, who has been a search and recovery volunteer professional since 2011. ECSAR specializes in human remains detection and provides certified dog teams exclusively to law enforcement agencies at no charge.

To be deployable, each K9 team must maintain a certification in their selected discipline(s) that meets or exceeds SWGDG (Scientific Working Group on Dog and Orthogonal Detector Guidelines) or AAFS Standards Board (ASB) guidelines.

K9 teams must also meet rigorous training standards required by the team and participate in seminars to further their education and training.

ECSAR serves all city, county, state, and federal agencies and will work in cooperation with other SAR organizations for mutual aid support. Teams are also available for community demonstrations and programs.
